Top teams

Top teams
Luckily on Friday afternoon, half the school was able to take part in a organised event called Top Teams. it is an event with water involved and  some other fun activities. Most of the school took part in it. My favorite event was the school bus activity, mostly because it had water involved. It was really fun and enjoyable. Sadly I don't have a picture but it was in our schools back paddock. it was really fun. We had to bring spare clothes for afterwards because we got wet.

In conclusion I really enjoyed this and hope to do it again sometime.

Over the past few weeks, we have been learning to write formal and informal letters here is a letter I wrote about our political event in new Zealand

It said:

 My name is Holly Kirk I am a 21 year old women in Christchurch when I was 3 I dreamed of being a firefighter, but my Mother said I have to be a housewife but my two brothers could be anything they want to be. Because there men. How do you think that's fair? why aren't Women able to vote why does our gender assume who we are and what we do?

Writing task: The trench

learning Kohfball

Learning Korfball 
For a new change with our weekly sports we have been learning how to play Korfball Its really fun its kind of like netball and basketball....But it is a little bit different

1. In a normal court put a line inline with the middle of the circle in the court
2. you have Defense and attack on each team but its a group of defense and a group of attackers the groups aren't aloud to cross the line.
3. then one team starts of with the ball and you just pass the ball to each other (to the people who is on the same team as you)
4. Have fun!

If i'm being honest Korfball is a lot of fun its a new sport Learnt and i'm exited to learn more things! 

Ferrymead heritage park.

Ferrymead heritage park
to relate to our PBL the Tumu hub went to Ferrymead, Ferrymead is a place in Christchurch were you go to learn about the new Zealand history. To educate about our past, It also gave me a good reflect of how lucky we are today in our lives. Gosh those poor girl wearing those itchy bonnets. Anyway, I will tell you the subjects we did, In-fact we had to role-play. We went to a fake school based in the olden days we got the ink out and had to write a sentence we went able to talk or even look at your friends. It may sound bad but it was actually fun!.
here's the sentence we had to write : A apple a day keeps the doctor away in a cursive text with a proper ink quill. Then we went to the movies the movie was in black and white. and in a small space it was really cool

I enjoyed my trip.

our new PBL

Our new PBl question is: How has new Zealand's past influence today and our future.

So for my follow up i have to write something about the war so I write a diary of a little girl called peggy when it was the times where Hitler roamed the earth.

If you're reading this you just be lucky because I will be telling you what life is like as a child from 1914 during the times where Hitler brainwashed people and tormented them and then he made my father all my brothers fight in war. Since I am a little girl I will be at home practicing and working how to cook, Clean and do all the housework. And we sew blankets, Pillows, I am Peggy brandella I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters I am the 4th oldest  And I am at home with my grandma my grandma Elizabeth Teaches me all those things. My mother is at war being a nurse and healing the wounded. My father and 5 brothers are at war. But me and my grandma Eliza are waiting for the telegram boy to come. The telegram boy is coming in an hour my Grandma said. And then there was a knock on the door.

Turns out My father and my 2 brothers, Gareth and Tyler died in the war. Its heartbreaking but how could the telegram boy just knock on the door and announced that someones loved one is dead and walked away whistling and smiling! I cant believe there dead!. I wish Hitler wasn’t in charge why is he in charge anyway? Oh yeah i forgot be brainwashed people to believing if he got rid of all the Jews then breed the perfect germans than he could create a world of beautiful perfect people but really the germans are not perfect I mean…. He’s killing people he's literally taking the children away from their parents and then and putting then in a gas chamber to die! How is that even being Beautiful you need to be perfect inside and out to be %100 perfect. I hope the country's fight back maybe other countries will take Hitler into a gas chamber and kill him he deserves that and if my grandmother or anyone finds this diary I  am dead……..Thanks for reading I pray that I will get out of this horrible century alive….
